No it's been proven that a cross platform between a console and PC will always have PC players winning. They had an experiment with cross platforming they got mediocre PC and the hardcoe Xbox players the PC players always won and not just like 1 or 2 points it was a slaughter. So no.

It wasn't so much a competition as a test of the potential Live feature. I doubt Microsoft would release their data voluntarily if it had negative implications about their lead entertainment platform. If you want actual data you might find some from Unreal Tournament 3 which had mouse and keyboard support (as well as controller ofc) on the PS3.

It makes sense when you think about it though. The real difference between the two is comparing Mouse Vs Thumbstick. The mouse is better in just about every way. You make larger movements with the mouse, meaning its easier to be more accurate, even a medium quality mouse is going to end up being more precise when comparing hardware, and with a quick flick of your wrist you can turn around much faster with a mouse if you're shot in the back. Throw in players used to a hyper-sensitive gaming mouse, and the differences would just get amplified.

Ive looked around a bit to try and find actual facts for you, but all i can turn up are about stories about Shadowrun, which all stem from one guy complaining about how Microsoft dropped Shadowrun due to the cross-platform idea being totally unfair to console players.

The one thing I did not look into much though, was the keyboard and mouse attachment that was available for dreamcast. I had a dreamcast back in the day, so I heard from other players that anyone who used the mouse was severely looked down upon and often kicked from rooms just because it was just that unfair. But I never played FPS for dreamcast.

Pc players aim better, console players move better. I think someone on here suggested a pressure-sensitive keyboard?

i can move pretty well using a keyboard, in small shocks, but pretty good. it's all about getting used to your equipment i suppose

Since when do console players move better ? Watch some gameplay videos of console players and see how slow they move. I recommend Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. There you can get a good impression of the differences. Just due to the fact that a gamepad reacts way slower than a mouse keyboard combo it is impossible that a console player could stand a chance versus a PC gamer.
