Curing...

I was reading up on the wiki and it said this about curing Serana...

If you side with the Dawnguard you can convince Serana to cure her vampirism after you kill her father and finish the main questline. This is dependent on the conversations you have with her during the questline. A conversation option "Have you always been a Vampire?" will become available after Serana brings the scroll to Fort Dawnguard and you ask her to follow you. There are a few possible choices you can make while conversing with her about this however, if you ask her if she has ever thought about getting cured she will refer to her condition as a gift and state that she will never seek a cure for it. Should she say this you can still ask her to seek a cure after her father has been defeated but she will refuse and then refuse to speak to you about it further should you ask again. If you do wish for her to cure her Vampirism after the main questline then choose the option "Are you all right?" instead of asking her about a cure. Once you ask this she will end the conversation but you will still be able to convince her to seek a cure at Fort Dawnguard after her father is dead.
Is that true? Because that makes absolutely no sense. I selected both dialogue options, as I always do if given the chance. I went through the dialogue tree once and asked her if she was alright, and then went through it again to mention the possibility of a cure. Does that mean I'm not going to be able to cure her? They shouldn't make such a big decision be based on such a small conversation, especially since it's not a one-time thing. I bet many people asked both.

I ran through the DLC just to check on this, and it was right. That's just stupid...

yeah. apparently if you talk to her about it to soon she won't want to talk about it after you kill her father. this keeps her as a vampire forever I guess.

In most games, you're rewarded for asking questions. It wasn't an insulting question. It wasn't like "You're a filthy vampire and need to get cured." It was just a simple "Hey, have you ever thought about a cure?" And that one line of dialogue, without warning, comes back to haunt you.

She looks weird cured anyways. You're not losing out on much if any at all.

I wanted a paladin type character. Having her cured fit my character. I don't want her to stay a vampire.

Meh its not like she changes much after she's cured. Her personality is still the same.

More like she does not change at all. Even less dialogue.
