Curing a Werewolf

Okay, so, I have the witches head.
I'm in Ysgramors Tomb right by the fire.

I click activate but it does nothing. At all.

uummm...the only way to become a werewolf is by agreeing to.....why did you agree to it if you didn't want to be one?

You needed to become one in order to complete the Companions quest line..

LOL you joined a faction and continued associating with said faction even after you found out they were werewolves. if you didn't care for it or weren't interested in it you don't have to do that quest line. period. you made the choice. you weren't railroaded. there was no one there forcing you to do that quest line.

apparently a lot of people haven't been able to cure themselves. i never bothered trying to cure my werewolf characters, because it was simply to awesome to have an 'i win' button. maybe someone will be able to tell you how to cure it, but i think it is FUBAR.

I started the faction not knowing they were werewolves.
I found out like half way through.
I wanted to continue to associate with the faction, not the werewolves.
I wanted to do the faction quests, not become a werewolf and get involved with them.
The companion faction isn't a faction about werewolves.
It's about fighter.
Werewolves have just taken over it.

As a Warrior, it seems a good idea to join the Companions (ie Fighters Guild) and complete their Questline. Should Mages, Thieves etc have to choose not to complete their own guild's questline? I only became a werewolf after learning that there was a cure. But for many the cure isn't working.

again. you want your cake and want to eat it too. you want to do the quest line but don't want to be a werewolf but that's not the way it's written. it's a choice you have to make, you aren't railroaded. if you don't like it when you find out about it, stop doing it.

in any case, your issue is a fairly well known issue that many people have. currently the only solution is console commands for pc users. i'm guessing you aren't on pc so you are stuck.

@jorvik yes, i know. but like i've been saying, no one railroads you into continuing the quest line. it's a choice each person must make. just like the cannibal quest. i choose not to do it. it's a choice i make. i don't feel like i have to do every quest out there. yes, i admit it would be nice to have a full quest line for warrior types where you have the option skip the step of becoming a werewolf but there isn't. oh well, guess i'll just have to be a mercenary adventurer instead.

At first I wanted a cure until I saw how helpful turning into a Werewolf could be. It is only there if you call it. It has gotten me out of tough scraqes when facing multiple foes.

The best way to kill these trolls and other trolls is Fire damage. This is because it stops their ability to regenerate health. It is also recommended you try to avoid these at low levels, as they have high health.

I had the same problem. If you talk to Farkas after you complete the questline, eventually he gives you a dialogue option where he wants to cure himself. Go with him and you can cure yours when you're there. It worked for me, at least.

And yeah, werewolves svck.
