Custom projectile weapon

Post » Wed Jun 20, 2012 11:10 pm

Hey guys i was wondering if there were any tutorials on getting custom projectile weapons into the game i could watch?

I know how to get my model into Skyrim/CK using nifskope, but i need to know how to setup it up correctly once i have imported the obj. file into nifskope, and once i have imported the nif files into the CK.

Thanks,
big

What I've done is copy an existing projectile, then mod it.

For example, find the Iron Arrow in CK, then open it up and check the other CK files it references (there is a file that describes the object, and other that describes it's properties like flight physics, dmg, etc). Make duplicates of these files and change the references accordingly.

I don't have a good handle on how to replace the models (the appearance), but those references are also listed there as properties.

To change the model of anything in the game really, use FOMM (fallout mod manager) to unpack Skyrim's Mesh BSA. Then simply find the mesh you want, copy it into a folder under Data/Meshes/pluginname/ and you can now make that mesh act as the mesh for anything else.
