Custom Race only one hair option, eye option, etc

Post » Mon Jun 18, 2012 10:30 am

Hey guys, I used to go by Tomitski and then Tomitsky, but for some reason I can't access either of those accounts anymore.

Anyway, I am messing around with different things in the creation kit, to help learn it, and custom races are confusing me.

I copied the Imperial race, made my new race a morph of the imperial race, and an armor morph of the imperial race, but my new race only has one head part for eyes, hair, facial hair, etc. I still have all the face morphs (lips, noses, etc) though.

How do I fix this? All help is appreciated.

It took me a while to figure this out and I was some what confused for a while. but once you get the idea its not so bad.

There are 2 options depending on what you want to do.

1. Keep the Imperial head.
  • Open the HeadPartsImperialandVampire FormList and add your race to the list. Do this by keeping the form open changing the object window to class and drag your class into the list.

2. Use any head. This is a little more tricky.
  • Duplicate a male and female head, change the ID and names to whatever you want.
  • Change the Valid Races to HeadPartsAllRacesMinusBeasts
  • Add your race to the HeadPartsAllRacesMinusBeasts FormList
There is also a Formlist HeadPartsHuman you can select if you only want the human head parts.
You could also make your own CustomClassHeadPart form and add all the races you want to it and select that in the valid races.

Hope that helps you out.
