Custom races STILL broken.....

Post » Sun Jun 24, 2012 2:35 pm

As the title says, custom races are still not as they were before this CK update fiasco:

creating a custom race using custom parts in the CK causes a huge gap between the hands and forearms, AND the feet and calves of custom race male characters. Females however, work fine as they did before this [censored] patch screwed everything up.

I've tried replacing EVERY mesh and texture for all of my race mods, but nothing seems to correct the issue.

edit: to clarify a bit more, when you select a custom race in showracemenu (or at character creation), the male of that race is affected by the above issue, regardless of whether there is a male variant of that race or not (the male presets are automatically duplicated as well)

Update:

Confirmed that it's DEFINITELY a fault in the Creation Kit. I completely re-installed Skyrim, eliminating the male body replacer I was using. I then loaded each race mod into the CK and removed all references to the custom male texture sets they were using, leaving each race mod with ONLY a female body replacer in use.

The issue STILL persists, even AFTER a full re-install of the game, the CK, and completely re-configuring every race mod that included a male variant of the race. As noted earlier, females work fine.

Final update:

Resolved the body mesh issue. Apparently, the new CK version was not only resetting the female side of custom armo form, but the male side as well.

Anyway, posted in case anyone else is having the same issue.
