Daedric armor vs Dragon armor?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 1:53 pm

I was wondering which sets is more beneficial for warrior type 2 handed who might tank a lot>?? I'm level 25 with 100 smith skill and I heard that deara set is the best but how come the dragon sets requirement is higher so I was just wondering if I should get the dragon armor instead of the deadric set I currently possessed.

Dragon is the 5th skill on the Light Side, and it's the best Light Armor. Daedric is the 5th skill on the Heavy Side, and it has the most armor rating of any armor. That said, Dragonbone is superior to Daedric armor, because they can both reach the armor cap if they are upgraded to Legendary, and the Dragonbone weighs significantly less, taking up less carrying capacity. Furthermore, the armor difference is so little, it's barely worthy of consideration.

I find I like to wear what would suit my characters personality. You should do that.

You can easily play the game on any difficulty with any armour. Daedric gets a slightly more def, most people don't spend the perk to get Dragon for that reason (and the lack of dragon weapons.

When the quest applying to Dwarven armour only (it applies to all) works properly a fully upgraded set of dwarven + this quest bonus will make it the best in the game. That's at a later date though.

Choose what ever you like the look of or what feels best, enchant appropriately, upgrade when you can and you'll be fine.

Daedric has slightly higher armor rating. Dragon, on the other hand has option to craft exceptional light armor as well as heavy. Two types is why I think it requires higher smithing ability. It boils down to what you like basically. I, personally like the look of dragonscale armor (light version of dragon) and with a little effort can make it easily exceed armor cap of 567...

Whiterun guard armour FTW. Personally I would go for the armour set which looks more appealing.

I prefer more authentic equipment which means I find deadra equipment too high fantasy.

daedric has better stats, and weight won't matter near the end of the game with the right perks. Dragon armor is easier to craft than deadric, i spent a long time looking for dremora hearts while i had thirty something pieces of scale and bone sitting in my wardrobe.

Really i would just go with whatever you think looks better

is that individual pieces or the whole set combined? Because my Dragon Bone armor hits a combined 757 in Armor rating. (This is after a lot of hard work hunting for blacksmith elixers with fortify smithing enchants on my gear as well as a few special gauntlets and necklaces that bolster it immensely.

it caps at like 80% protection, it will still show off numbers above 567, but they won't mean anything

the whole set combined. anything above 567 wont add any extra protection, so its pointless to go any higher. wish i'd known about it sooner myself.

Not enough in the world for the way they seem to swarm around me. I once came out of a cave to be ambushed by a named dragon, an ancient one, alduin summoning a dead one, another ancient flying in, and then I fast traveled after killing them and poped in right infront of a dragon attacking a town. i had one attack me in riften! Another in Solitude! They are on my [censored] like Yellow on an Altmer.

I personally would choose to Daedra, simply for aesthetics, but the values of defense shouldn't vary that much. Not to mention Daedra armour is way more of a hassle than Dragonbone as Dragons grow on trees and Daedra... not so much.

The ancient dragon are no joke, I have not fought Alduin yet.
Every time I fight one I restock on potions.
That is crazy I have had only one dragon attack me in town, that was Riften as well.
Love the last part of your post.

Seriously, i have had over 150 dragon bones XD. I have 8 extra dragon souls at all times and when ever i unlock a word another dragon is around the corner to give me more bones coins and souls. I have started throwing bones away because I have a weight of 450 at all times because of all my gear. I could start a dragon ranch if i could catch all of em.

Yes. If you like making armor out of dead, sentient demons, then do that. If you prefer to make it out of resurrected rekilled sentient dragons, then do that instead.

If you prefer to not wear armor made out of something that you could have a conversation with, you'll have to use a lesser armor.

Are there no enemies that ignore some of your armor? Seems like there should be, but I could understand that not making it into the game.
