Daedric Armor, When Does it Appear?

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 2:15 pm

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Enchanting_%28Skyrim%29 and unenchanted Daedric armor can be found in chests, while unenchanted armor can also be forged at any http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Forge or The http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Atronach_Forge. At higher levels, enchanted Daedric Armor pieces can be found inside http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Chests_and_containers as random http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Loot, though this is very rare.

Read it carefully, then tell me what you think, cause either I am reading it wrong or the person wrote it down wrong, or this is false.

It says "http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Enchanting_%28Skyrim%29 and unenchanted Daedric armor can be found in chests...", then later it says "At higher levels, enchanted Daedric Armor pieces can be found inside http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Chests_and_containers as random http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Loot, though this is very rare."

So is this stating that, regardless of level, Daedric armor is located in specific chests, like somewhere in a dungeon or something? Or is that just a repeat of the other phrase, where it is saying that at higher you get Daedric Armor as loot.

As of recently for me, I noticed it appearing when I got the smithing skill before daedric which is ebony. As soon as I got ebony, it started appearing everywhere. It might also be at a certain level before they start to appear.

Normally at around level 45+ it will start to show as random awards in chests. Level 50+ before it starts to become commonplace, and some merhcants stock deadric weapons.

I found a daedric war axe on my level 26 ranger a while back - it was a completley freak occurence though, and I've never found it since.

If your looking to wear daedric realistically speaking you need to craft it yourself either through smithing or transforming ebony armor into daedric using the atronach forge, they are found randomly in loot at higher levels but its incredibly rare. You might as well assume daedric armor isn't available at random and can only be acquired through crafting.

One finds dragonbone and dragonscale armor "more frequently" than Daedric items.

Unfortunately, this is true. I was gonna' say the best answer to the topic question is: "As soon as you start making it."

On two characters with over 300 hours each and both over 50 (58 and 76) I think I've found a Daedric Helmet, a Daedric Greatsword and a Daedric Great Axe and I believe those were all on the 76. I don't check merchants' inventory after I get to like level 20 because I maxed Smithing on both characters, but maybe they carry it. Basically, if you want a full set your best bet is to just make it. :(

I recall finding Ebony weapons below level 10 on some draugr in one of the barrows. Not sure which, but maybe it is possible to find at lower levels.
