Daedric Quest Weapons

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 1:50 pm

My brothers and sisters,

Last night, I managed to kill malkoran, he's really a hard hitter. Took me many retry times. And took dawnbreaker.

I have my smithing skills in 100 and opened all smithing perks. I have upgraded dawnbreaker to flawless quality, but cannot go further as the game is telling me I don't have the skill to perform this. Please advise me what the skill is? Or something that I haven't done yet?

According to the wiki, it isnt classified as an ebony weapon, and can only be improved to Exquisite without any fortify smithing effects.

You need to either use enchantments or fortify smithing potions to take the Daedric Artifacts to Legendary status.

Hi friend, I see, I will try fortify smithing potion tonight, but by the way, only one of these potion, then I can smith it all the way up to legendary?

Hi friends,

I made the fortify smithing potion and drink it, but with all smithing perks invested and smith to 100 level, I still cannot bring it to legendary status. Is there anything missing or I have to get the notched pickaxe and equip it before I can bring my dawnbreaker to legendary status?

I just use the enchanting myself. I can make 4 pieces of equipment with Fortify Smithing 25%, and that gets it up to Legendary.

No material type perk in the Smithing tree affects Dawnbreaker, so you need to buff your Smithing skill to 168 to get 'Legendary'.

You can buff Smithing by wearing Fortify Smithing enchanted gear for Chest, neck, finger, and hands, plus use a potion.

You can get it to Legendary with fortify smithing gear, but it's stats are rather disapointing.

My dear friends,

Really thanks. Please provide me some details of how to get to 168 smithing skill? And how to get an equipment to disenchant it? Or there is a whole set of fortify smithing gear?

Understood stats are disappointing, but I do really want the word legendary........

Look for http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Generic_Magic_Apparel#Fortify_Smithing in general and smithy stores, or enchant them yourselves.

Hi Arcona,

I see, finding up to peerless quality or before this are directly affected by my character's level? Or totally random?

Smithing skill isn't really the issue. Whether it's a bug or an intentional feature, many of the Daedric artifacts have a very limited upgrade potential. If you are on PC there are mods that address this shortcoming.

The ability of finding the "peerless" armor pieces is dictated by your level, since it seems they're mostly Daedric. I don't know for the jewelry, though.

As for below peerless, all I can say is that they're much more likely to be found, since they're on a larger variety of armor.
