My sneaky character used dual-wield, enchanted, elven, daggers (fire on the right, shock on the left) and would take down just about anything in open combat if he could get close enough. Those two knives worked like blades in a blender dealing out so much damage per second the bad guy went down so fast he seldom got a blow in once I had got in range. I had dual-flurry and full armsman perks; worked like a dream if I lost my stealth cover - provided, as I say, I could get close enough (when I couldn't I died because I had damn all in the armour department).

Are they considered a one-handed weapon? As far as benefitting from the one-handed perks? Every other type of weapon in the game has it's own special specific perks in one tree or another- axes, swords, maces, and bows, both one hand and two hand styles. But the only dagger-related perk I've seen is the one a ways up in the Stealth tree. Does that mean dags are not considered a one-handed weapon?

The dagger talent in the Stealth tree is powerful enough that it doesn't need to be fed like swords/maces/axes do. Although I think the axe talent is completely useless.
