Dark Brother Hood INITIATION SPOILERS

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:19 pm

Who did you kill of the three ragged and gagged things ?

I killed them all ... I ment to only kill the Khajiit and the lady (I suspect the khajiit was the actual target but at the same time thats exactly what they want you to think so it had to have been the housewife ) so i tossed a fire ball between the two of them and the guard got killed by the shock wave ....

so who did you kill and in what method ?

All of them, with a Bound Sword. I don't normally use melee weapons so I keep the spell for situations like this - it'd be weird to use a bow in such a small room.

I decided to kill all three because I didn't really know who was the target (probably the Khajiit, though) and this was the only way to make sure I got the right one. I figured Sithis wouldn't mind two additional bodies

I killed the Khajiit. He freely admitted to being a thief and a killer.
The woman was a real piece of work, very abrassive and said she had "enemies." I didnt get any specifics out of her, though.
The Nord admitted to being a mercenary, but he tried convincing his leader that it was wrong to kill sleeping opponents, so he at least has some honor.

I used my bow, because I didnt have any other stealthy weapons, since this was before I picked up my Elven dagger, and I sell or skip over steel and iron ones.

EDIT: Woo! 200 posts!

It's only proper to put an arrow through the backs of their skulls.

I killed astrid, the blade of woe and the gratification of the people of Skyrim is a far greater reward than shallow gold for cold-blooded murders.

you can also kill them all with unrelenting force or just punch them (multiple reloads to hear each dialog option)

The Khajiit. And I used the woodcutter's axe that was lying on the cabin floor to do it. Just because.

When Astrid said that I was not getting out until someone died [paraphrasing] I just lightning bolted her off of her perch and finished her off with my axe...I tend to role play as a hero and I just couldn't pass up that opening line!

Does anybody know who the real hit was called on? I suspect it was on all three, but they just wanted you to kill whomever you pleased and they'd finish it off.

There is no actual target, astrid says something different for each one but it doesn't matter who you kill

I pickpocketed the suit & dagger from Astrid first.

Then I killed only the khajiit, left the other 2 alive. I pickpocketed their gear and hoods.

Went to sanctuary, Astrid had another set of gear back on.

Returned to the shack way, way later and the other 2 were still in there. One of them respawned another hood, which I pickpocketed.

Sold it to a merchant & bought it back to remove the stolen tag. This initiated a letter from Calcemo in Markarth: he needed me to bring him the execution hood because it was vital to his Dwemer research.

I'm not even joking.

Grelod sorta had it coming, and my character was experimenting with skooma at the time...

I took the Khajiit just because he promised that no one would come after me if I let him live. The middle one was a piece of work, but she was a mother.... and the Nord mercenary? Kneeling there soiling himself (unlike any of us tough folk on this board)...... that was punishment enough, In retrospect I probably should have shot him in the knee so at least he'd have a job as a town guard.

Grelod? well, she was there in Riften creating one serial killer at a time. Did any of you see her torture chamber? Those poor kids.

We all have it coming. Skooma in this game is skank compared to what it was in Morrowind.

Clairvoyance aims at the Khajit

Pfft, Clairvoyance. I was doing the White Phial quest, and it sent me on a long, looping path that pointed back towards town.
Another time I was in Winter hold, and heading for Riften to kill Grelod, and was using Clairvoyance, hoping it would let me keep to the roads to town, so I wouldnt have to climb a bunch of mountains. It pointed towards Kynesgrove. I hate that spell.

Astrid, arrow to the face.

With the character I last roleplayed as, being kidnapped, waking up in a shack, and then ordered to kill potentially innocent people could have only ended one way.

Important for his research :o) have you done the quest where you hook a lady up with him?

I'm boycotting his research after clearing out his museum.
Got the message that he wanted to buy some dwarven gauntlets of archery I bought to disenchant as i paid 2000 for them I thought he would pay me much more so I bought more expensive light armor set, goes to him and he offered 400 for the gauntlets.

First time through I killed all of them, just to make sure I got the right one.

Second time through I killed the Khajiit, since he seemed the most likely candidate, and showed no fear unlike the other two.

Third time though I killed Astrid, cuz she kept sending assassins at me throughout the game and then kidnapped me from my house. Lady's got some nerve.

I killed all. Even tho im a khajiit, i was originally going to just kill the khajiit because of his additude and arrogance. But what can i say, Duel weilding A Woodcutters axe and a Pickaxe and driving it into one skull let me to do it again, and again lol. Almost killed astrid to but then i remembered that going through the DB quests was the only way of killing that milkdrinking emperor, who can shove his damn treaty into the steaming nether regions of my you-know-where. I kill the Kadjit. He is the most likely target. It could be the housewife, but bit unlikely. It is'nt the mercenery I think.

Even if it is'nt the kadjit, he is still annoying. Anyone who boasts about their reputation in the face of death is a idiot.

It is either 1 or all of them.

Last time I used Flame and Sparks. I use whatever is most focused and least likely to hit the others.

I would never kill Astrid. The Dark Brotherhood are cool and interesting.

I killed the warrior, that sniveling coward. "Fultheim the Fearless"? HAH! I doubt he's going to Sovngarde, the way he soiled his armor.

The Khajiit, I'd have released if I could; he was so utterly honest about how much of a cold, heartless, despicable bastard he is, I found myself liking him.

When Astrid said that I was not getting out until someone died [paraphrasing] I just lightning bolted her off of her perch and finished her off with my axe...I tend to role play as a hero and I just couldn't pass up that opening line!

Her dying words actually congratulate you for that.
