Has anyone torchered the people in the room? I started slicing this one guy up, he starts to mumble something about a treasure him and his brother hide somewhere and next thing you know a misc quest pops up that says locate the hidden treasure. So I finally find it but it was weird it was in a rock. It said activate hollowed rock. Anyone come across this? I wonder if there is more.

Also has anyone got any other quests from torturing in the torture room.

I do believe all the victims give treasure locations. Give it a try

Yeah... well I killed them all...
I was in the moment of a rampage, and was like.. "Hey, I can't kill people in public without getting arrested, so why not get away with it legally?"

So, while they were murmuring their words of wisdom about treasures, I was too busy killing them.


I should have had them live.

I wish their bodies would disappear. I tried burning one, but it just lay there partly on fire looking disturbing...

see, while I can and do kill and take great pleasure from a job well done, the nutjobs I have to hang around with in the sanctuary make my skin crawl. it's real easy to see why the thieves make such a distinction, huh? wow... they really get off on the mutilation before death that they can bring...

didn't know about the quests, just the distruction/restoration leveling opportunities they pose (heal it, burn it, heal it, burn it...) I'll let my bf know about the treasure locations, if he hasn't already heard. lol

Err...you're welcome. Yeah, I felt bad for them, too. I wouldn't have bought it if I could have completed the quest without doing so.

Assassination is one thing, but torture is not the Dark Brotherhood's way; not the Brotherhood I lead, at least.

Honestly I wish we can free them. I would after a quick beating.

I didn't even bother getting that final upgrade. I don't need to get my Jolly's off 4 shackled half naked people getting mutilated for treasure which means nothing when I can make hundreds of thousands with a finger snap in alchemy. Having played in the DB from previous games, yeah, it's not enjoyable.

At least it isn't like Lachance who got strung up naked and had his guts carved out and eaten by the members.

Unfortunately, I thought that the room was more for interrogation/waterboarding. I mean, I had a thieve's guild associate set it up for me! And with Nazir and Babbette (aka. Pedobear's worst nightmare), I sorta figured it wouldn't be *that* screwed up. And I did try numerous ways to try to set them free, but the fact is that even if I could, they wouldn't go anywhere, anyway.

Set up one of those fancy soul stone traps you see in dungeons, and have your subordinates keep throwing bodies infront of the flames. Above the celling of that room, have your bathtub.

Totally agree. I also don't like to eerie music that plays in the Sanctuary either, the lighting is terrible, and there seems to be too much space for so few people. The Sanctuary in Oblivion managed to be creepy while not being downright disturbing.

You guys talk about the "nut jobs" that hang around the sanctuary. Probably have the dinner conversations like Joe Pesci and DeNiro did in Goodfellas. Just don't say to Cicero "You're a funny guy."

I have fun torturing them. I used Ice Form on the old lady and she fell out of her shackles but she didn't go anywhere. I don't torture the one who looks like Calder (faithful guardian of my house) though. I suppose just having to watch me gruesomely torture the other 3 and pass by him all smiley is mental torture enough. I'm especially cruel to the hot chick, using Marked for Death, Vampiric Drain, and other painful type spells and shouts, and then healing her when she's just at the cusp of death. No reprieve for you, [censored]. I torture the big tough looking Nord guy while naked (I play as a cute little breton chick). Arrow to the crotch.

I killed them , now ..they just lay there >.>

I found that simply talking to them will make them give up the info.
