I haven't done any of the Brotherhood quests, so please answer this question without spoilers.

Everyone loves the idea of the sneaky assassin, silently slipping in to kill their target without ever being noticed. What I find intriguing, however, is a "sneakless" assassin. Now obviously in theory this could work, I'm just wondering if the game primarily gears assassins towards needing to sneak to be able to get the full experience of the Brotherhood. I assume most contracts could probably be done without sneaking, I'm mostly curious as to whether they lose some of their luster if you don't sneak.

definetly possible, most of the quests are based on sneak and agility, most of the quests even though more fun as a sneaky assassin, could easily be done going headstrong, if thats what you want

The Dark brotherhood was not any harder playing as a Warrior type.

None of the missions require you to be good at sneaking.

Be prepared for many bounties and long jail sentences. But otherwise its completely possible.

It's possible to go headfirst, tunnel view straight to the victim and murder it.


The only thing that happens is that you'll have to pay the fine, but that's all :>

Thats true. I got put in jail most on most of the contracts.
But all you really lose is about 2 minutes of play time...

as a conjure mage, i dont sneak around at all. if you've seen dremora lords, u know they'll charge through half a dungeon just cause they heard something. with that said, i still did every DB quest fine.

You can't have a bounty if EVERYONE is dead.

I sneaked and was flawless most of the time, and still got a bounty.

not really, an arrow in the back at a distance suffices. That way you don't get a bounty. This game doesn't put that much emphasis on sneak, I'm sure muffle works just as good. My brother on his game maxed out sneak and I found it kind of silly to go through drauger caves watching them stand there or walk blindly around while he one shots them. Seemed very dull.

Yes. Do you think Festus sneaks? Or the werewolf dude, cant remember his name. Assassins come in many forms.

Yes it's very possible, but it takes most of the fun away from the quests, well for me it does, but you might like a big blood bath.

I just Festus Krex'd my way to my targets....a person with skin melted off the bones don't stop you to collect a bounty,head or send you to jail.
