Entirely different games.. Can't compare in that sense..
I'd say dark souls gives more for your money, as long as you actually *like* it. (it's harsh for inexperienced players and you might end up trading it for arkham city even if you do choose dark souls).
I'd go with Arkham City, you don't really need to have played AA to get it but it may help you in understand the buttons, but there s a first time for everything
I think Dark souls just gets annoying from the anor londo boss fight onward.
I would say battlefield 3 if you have live, but I would say save your money, buy arkham asylum (cheap now) save wasting £40 on a game you may not like.

That's a good idea, get Arkham Asylum for cheap, because it's still an amazing game. Then you get get Arkham City later(probably after you are done with Skyrim).
