I did a search and it threw up no topics so here goes

I picked up a bow called Davin's Bow, physically it looks identical to any hunting bow but the damage is much higher - i upgraded to flawless and at aprox archery skill of 70 it gives me 44 damage. Anyway I cant drop it as it says its a quest item but I have no idea what quest its for and there's no quest in my journal for it. Its a bit annoying as its taking up 7 lbs of my inventory space. Anyone encountered the quest for this? where can I pick up the quest?

I've checked these forums, the skyrim wiki and even googled it and got absolutely 0 results!

If you tell me where you found it we can look for the quest together I'm tired of my Dwarven bow on my assassin and since I refuse to use smithing on that character and can't find better bows in merchants I'm super interested lol

It says it takes weight but it actually isnt.

Just enjoy the bow and maybe you'll find the quest on your journey.

Where's the bow?!?!?!?! You've peaked my "find all rares in the game" side and I can't live without knowing...........a little extreme? maybe

I also had this bow and once I got a different quest, where I was to speak with Davin for some different reason and I could also return the bow. Funny thing. It was some guy on the farm near Riften IIRC.

Unfrotuanately all i can recall is that I found it in a chest in some random dungeon I was exploring. May be the case that it spawns randomly? certainly it was not in a place I expected to find a unique bow.





If you're sick of your dwarven bow at level 8ish I thieved an elven bow from Jorrvaskr in whiterun which I used for like 20 levels. Tho you need to be able to crack an adept/expert lock.

Well i got the quest first from Dravin (thieves stealing it and all that), at a farm outside riften, went into the ratway to get it, killed some folks and got the bow back to Dravin. it was in a chest, true. Everyone is still alive in the Flagon ( (sp??)the bar down there) but some folks in the sewers with real names aren't anymore... Now I wonder if it messes up the thieves guild questlines or something, hope not..

Davin owns a farm just before you enter Riften. He wants the bow back that has been stolen by thieves.

no the wannabe thieves attack you no matter what even if you decide to join the thieves guild. they are just nobody scum that live in the ratway

The bow is found in the Ratway in Riften, behind the Thieves Guild.

ok nice, I still havent done any thieves quests, there's just so much stuff to do in this game P

Sigh... When will people learn that quest items doesn't weigh anything?
