Dawnguard and Septims

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 1:35 am

So, the one thing I've noticed about Skyrim is that is stupid easy to get your gold to an insane amount, short of spending 5K per point on training. My question is if anyone knows if the houses in Dawnguard are going to be expensive...like having to save up and do bounty quests and not spend the 20K from the Dark Brotherhood questline expensive.

I'm really hoping that these new houses are both super expensive and super awesome, so much that they're the only houses you need after you buy them.

Anyway, if anyone knows, please let me know lol,

Thanks,

Renvale

Are we getting new houses? I thought we would just get the faction specific castles when we beat the DLC for either faction.

I think I remember Todd saying in an interview that we could upgrade them as well.

Upgrading will probably be a lot of gold.

Oh, and another random question. Since we can change our appearance in Dawnguard, I saw a couple threads talking about people changing their characters to look older as the years passed...the problem I have with that is I don't know where to find what year it is in Skyrim? Anyone know?

Does it show the year? I thought it was only the month date and time...I could have swore it doesn't show the year, at least on the xbox version...or I'm completely blind.

The people that are talking about this have no idea what they are talking about. Todd Howard has stated that this feature will never return to any of the Elder Scrolls or Fallouts in an interview he had with G4

The year in Skyrim is 4E201, this won't change with Skyrim or any of the DLC's.

I wish I had this 'problem' - my characters are always struggling with money ...

I had a problem of never having money until i joined the thieves guild and now i just do the numbers job in about 3 minutes and get 500 gold for them and can do them as much as i want, but other than that i agree money is rough in skyrim.

Join the dark brotherhood and kill people! The money is good and the contacts pay you upfront.
