Dawnguard available in English or just in english regions?

Watch what you say and remain civil if you want to remain here. Yes devs and admin do read the forums.

OK guys, there may be problems but constantly arguing and repeating the same thing is not going to gain you anything - apart from irate moderators.

you're right, but If this thread disappears, how can the devs see it?

We only need an answer and we're waiting since 15 days :\

For what it's worth, I also live in a FIGS language country and have an English retail version of the game so I'd like to have the English version of the DLC available too.

Otherwise I'm just not buying it, and it would be a shame.

I'm glad that I use US version of Xbox and account, so I enjoy playing Dawnguard In Japan. I don't even know that there would be any Skyrim DLCs in Japanese version releases ever. I kinda doubt that they would, because I have experience with Japanese version of ME2, they never released any of the mission DLCs except Lair of the Shadow Broker.
I never got to recruit Zaeed and Kasumi untill I get the US account. I don't know about other countries but I think English (UK), French, Spanish, German, and Italian version would most likely be released? That's just my guess but hopefully they do. Or perhaps learn some English and play this on ENG like I did. haha. I'm kidding though.

You might need ENG region account in that case. I used to have Japanese account only, but I was playing games in ENG, and I never got what I wanted in DLCs.
If you have friends in ENG region ask them if you can use their address to just create a Xbox account.

That's right, that's what I meant, I think the only way for us to play Dawnguard in english now is to download it from the UK xbox marketplace with an uk account... We waited uselessly for one month only to get a bugged localised version so this evening I'm going to try out and download DG from the UK store...!

Yeah, that's what I strongly recommend doing. It's better for future game playing for those who play games in original language. I just came up with this idea for people don't have friends in ENG region. Just go to google map and pick some skate park address or like motel or something. I bet those are usable to create an account!!!

Yup, thanks mate.
The problem is that I would need to buy some microsoft points and add them to the UK account just for Dawnguard...and it's pissing me off since I already have 2k microsoft points loaded on my main italian account...

Yeah, I had that problem too, but I didn't regret getting US account for better gaming experience. I say just do it. You are not doing this just for Dawnguard. It's for future DLCs, and many up coming video games. I'm talking about Bioshock Infinite, Dead Space 3, Boarder Lands 2, Tomb Raider, CoD black ops 2, Fallout 4, Prey 2, etc....

Yup, I didn't think that before, I should've got an UK account before since all the games I'm getting now are from the UK...

Was wondering...I just found out that I can switch gamertag between Windows LIVE IDs...

It says that microsoft points will be transfered as well...so if I switch my gamertag to a UK Windows LIVE ID it should work, right? :stare:

Hey, I might just do that too. The only thing lost would be the achievements, but I don't care about that anyway.
After you are done abako22, can you please tell me if you can use your existing save games for the new english account?

I'm creating the new UK Windows LIVE email address now...

But why loosing the achivements or the save games..? This method should use your main gamertag you always use, with achievements and save games only with a different email address, wich in my case would be uk english instead of italian...it shouldn't change anything apart from that...

At least, I think... (and hope)

Ah, then I misunderstood the Windows ID swap. Thanks anyway.
Edit: Tried, didn't work. Seems like the only way is creating a completely new account based in USA or the UK, which would require buying the points again.

If this works, I'm doing it immediately. What are the consequences then? Do you lose Achievements or something?

Yep sadly it doesn't work.
The only way is creating a new uk xbox live account from the scratch.
WTF I just lost my afternoon for this.

This is little tip after creating UK/US account. This is for those who use credit card to buy MSP/Games in market place. I used to have US bank account but not any more. I only have Japanese credit card now, and when I tried to save my credit card number to my US Xbox account it didn't let me save, because the address is in Japan and not in US. But what I did to work this out was using US Paypal account ( I bet you can do this with UK Paypal ). they will let you create an Paypal account with different country's credit card. After create a Paypal account you can save Paypal payment option in Xbox account. However, you may not be able to purchase MSP through your Xbox console though ( I can buy games through console but not MSP for some reason ), but you can purchase MSP through Xbox website using PC.

Very well, as far as I'm concerned the case is closed. I'm not buying DG and I won't buy any other Bethesda game on the release date, but I'll wait at least a year for the "Game of the year edition", that usually includes the DLCs. I mean...Bethesda develops really good games, is true, but the ocean is big!

i'm also done with skyrim, allthough i really loved that game, like every tes gamel before. The whole Dawnguard release is a real mess. They say it's a xbox live region issue (as stated in the faq) but why can't they just release a multi-lingual dlc, most of the other companies do it. I wont buy skyrim in german, just to play dawnguard. Hell, they even translated the country's name into german (skyrim=himmelsrand*shudder*) even though the games name is still skyrim.

And this is exactly why I am so happy I used a UK e-mail when I made my XBL account even though I live in Switzerland.

A question... suppose i create a UK account to download the english DLC; once the DLC is saved on my hard disc, will it be available for my original italian account on the same console?
i don't think so, but i'd be happy to be wrong...

Loks like the italian DLC adds really bad bugs to the game, like NPC going around in their underpants.
What's gonna happen if i install it on my PAL UK game, then?
Esperanto speaking naked NPC, or just crash everything?

Maybe you'll have characters speaking like Italo-American mafia mobs in Hollywood movies...and about the naked characters...y'know...we're italians, after all!

No, you won't be able to play them on your original account. I'm sorry but you gonna have to suffer your original one.
