Dawnguard Beta Rejection Group Thread #3

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 7:44 am

Then it appears those [censored] at Jumpstart thing are complete liars they said it's as buggy as hell, on a side note your not revealing anything if you tell us what would you give dawnguard out of 10
I am biased because of the whole vampire thing...but i will say the only problems i have had besides that 1 bug are a result of my xbox being messed up. But i will also say that the ONLY DLC for a game i have ever liked more than DG is SI so...that should say something. Those who refuse to get it are missing out

Yeah i think Beth did a good job on it already
If anything, glitches would come from being a Vampire Lord- how people react, skills/skill tree stuff not being correct/working properly, glitches with stuff that should only happen when you're transformed happening when you aren't, et cetera.

Could you make sure to get that tested for me since I can't beta test myself or access that section of the forum? xP

The only issues with VLs are the same ones with Lycans being movement in crowded areas mainly. Some say things happen when you transform but i turn every dungeon and i havent seen anything wrong

Good to know, I guess. Although, I can think of another potential issue: doing the Companions Questline after becoming a VL, but before finishing the VL questline.

I know that becoming a VL cures Lycanthropy, they already said that, but I don't know if it works the other way around. If it does, then there could be a problem with the VL questline, and if it doesn't, well, that's just a problem, period. Don't tell me if Lycanthropy cures you of being a VL- just assure me this will be looked into, if it hasn't already.

I may not be a beta tester, but I'll give any advice I can on what I could see causing potential issues. I know more than what you'd expect about these things. Let's just say I have, er... experience with game programming, and I'll leave it at that.

I'm just trying to help xD

Well haven't they also stated that it will be possible to become a werewolf again, AFTER, becoming a VL if you choose to side with the vampires?

By that logic, it seems likely they've also included a way to get the VL disease at will as well. I'm suspecting a blood fountain or something, similar to the Alter of Molag Bal, thus why that thing that looks like it appears in the vampire shots we've seen at times.

True. However, I'm talking about contracting Lycanthropy through the only way that exists in the normal game, not contracting it a second time.

Yea I know.

I just mean, I think that since Lycanthropy in vanilla game is caused by quest progress on a certain line, it'll overwrite it VL.

Then you'll most likely always have access to the VL fountain or disease contractor thing, as it'll most likely be in the Vampire's castle, while I assume you can always get in if you side with them.

Otherwise, yea, someone is royally in deep....

Which is why I was bringing it to the attention of the beta testers in any way possible, because it's not something people would think to check right off the bat, since most people will probably have already done that questline by the time they become a VL

I'm probably gonna end up being a pain in the butt to the beta testers if I keep this kind of thing up for two weeks XD

Yea, I see where you are coming from. I didn't really even think about that being an issue since they said it was intended for mid levels up.

When I was a laymen, we would ritually sacrifice members to appease the admins and the mods. Something happened though and we rebelled against our overlords. Gstaff, chief lieutenant to the Overlord, gave us the power of the Thu'um, or the report button. We reported the tyrants and now we all live peacefully with our new staff.

Doesn't surprise me that not many people know about the Forum Wars. Most people thought it was just a myth.

thankfully in 14 days, these beta threads will end.
And then the Hearthfire beta threads will begin
All my loose change is in a jar, tis safer that way, no one can take it!
Unscrew jar lid
Profit.

I hope the beta testers don't mind me bugging them with what I think could present issues if, and when, they show up XD
