Dawnguard DLC PS3

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 9:10 pm

I really want for the skyrim dlc to come out relatively close to the date it comes out on X BOX because I am a big fan of the elder scrolls of skyrim I have gone through multiple classes such as Vamp, Warrior, Thief, and have gotten them all to level 81 so i think it would be fair if they came out on close dates such as a week apart this is also agreeable to pc users. I know that x box is probably paying you and they are a wider network but this game still has at least a million players on PS3 and PC separately.

You want early DLC for PS3, eh? Here's an idea, I dot think you'll like it though. MS makes everyone pay for LIVE, that's where they get money for exclusive DLC. So, if Sony forced everyone to upgrade to PS+ and remove the free exclusives that PS+ users now get, then Sony would have enough money to net us some exclusive DLC. Also the PSN would be a much nicer, more refined network.

Wouldn't bother me, I already pay $50 a year for PS+.

it does NOT come out 30 days later. That's just when the exclusivity ends and they COULD release it.

Well beth would be stupid not to release the dlc after the exclutivity ends because not doing so will make people who prefer sony's console to not buy future beth games.

And with Dishonored coming out in October, that's not something a business wants to do.

I kinda like these threads.
Its stupid to make people wait 30 days and accomplishes nothing.
But filling the interwebs with spoliers before everyone else can play it.

It gets Bethesda more money from Microsoft, so yes, it does accomplish something.

Beth getting paid is really the only thing that happends because of this.

Which is Bethesda's primary concern. Paying the bill, paying employees and making profit.

When the director of the studio has 'no idea' when its coming to other platforms and we are just like just over 30 days from the hypothetical release date it is not very inspiring.

And say what you will about the state of 1.6, only 1/3 of the platforms hasn't got it, and the official word is there is no word.

Well beth would be stupid not to release the dlc after the exclutivity ends because not doing so will make people who prefer sony's console to not buy future beth games.
they have already done a bang up job alienating the PS3 customer, why stop now?

Beth getting paid is really the only thing that happends because of this.
well, getting paid and aggravating 2/3 of the customer groups.

OP are you serious?

Its not very inspiring, but I think he's saying that because any number of things could happen that would change the actual release date (whether it be Sony or something else). He was even being a little coy with the June 26th release date for the 360 by saying only if everything goes well. Hopefully that's all he meant, because I have seen how upset/angry people get when release dates aren't met.

He could easily have said in one of a million ways that its going to be right after the period of exclusivity. But he didn't.

He didn't have to say 'July 26th' or even 'August 26th' and they could just as easily release, post, blog or tweet that DG will be available on PC and PS3 N-days after its released for Xbox, but they aren't.

Combine that with a apparent lack of interest in delivering 1.6 for PS3...

Boy, never heard this one before.

It's happening, whether in your favor or not, it's happening.
I'm not crazy about it, but what can you do? They're a business, and I think the 360 had the most sales, if I remember correctly.

Pc can at least play with mods till the dlc is released.

Due to some BIG bugs introduced in the 1.6 patch and the recent CK update, the PC modding community isn't at it's best time either...for example, mods that adds any kind of armor/cloth/etc are completely paralyzed....

So we're pretty much as upset as PS3 users.

PS3 just has to wait 30 days later, that can be a positive thing since any issues that 360 brings up, they could have time to address them for PS3 version,

so the PS3 DLC launch goes more smoothly.

Hey, that's a great reason! I'll email Todd Howard right now and let him know.

When they asked Todd Howard when the PC and PS3 dlc would be coming out at E3, his response was pretty vague to be honest. :ermm:

With any luck we'll get it after the 30 days.

But in a bad case scenario we'll have to wait even longer due to weird politics.
