Dawnguard PC Extras

Post » Tue Nov 20, 2012 9:01 pm

With the coming of Dawnguard for PC, and now being able to freely use console commands, I have found a couple thing out that some of you may be interested in.

1.) I can finally wear Serana's Hood! But, is it just me, or does it look a bit different... On both me and her. I thought (for some reason) that he r hood used to be black with some red on it and look like a guild master's hood, but now it looks grey and more rounded and loose. Is it just me, or did it actually change? Probably just me, but worth stating, just in case. I wouldn't want to lose my mind...

2.) In Vampire Lord form, I used console commands to equip Harkon's Cape (not the Vampire Royal armor, the red cape that he wears in Vampire Lord form). It it pretty cool! It waves as I move, and is pretty cool, but if I "fly" it clips through my legs....

3.) I saved the best for last! Remember Serana's Elder Scroll (the one on her back)? I have it now! It is classified as ammunition and you can actually shoot it with a bow, although it takes on the appearance of a steel (I think) arrow. When you try to pick it up after shooting it, it turns into an elder scroll, again, and you can freely move it around! Finally, we can make that Elder Scroll Library we have always wanted in Skyrim!

I know this isn't much, but for those who prefer not to scan the coding, and try it out, this is pretty cool (I think it is, anyway)! Let me know what you think, please!

LOL at the elder scroll part, that's hilarious. Does it keep its Elder Scroll look while it is on your back, or does it always appear as an arrow? Always thought the elder scroll looked awesome on Serana.

Best way to blind enemies: shoot elder scrolls at them.

Lol. That would be funny, but it doesn't show as an Elder Scroll while shooting it. When it is nocked, it is invisible, and when it is shot (as in just flying through the air or kill cam, especially) it takes the form of a steel arrow, I believe. When you attempt to retrieve the arrow after shooting it, it turns into an elder scroll, again, letting you move it around and place it. I have not tried to pick up the Elde Scroll after it changes, though, as every time I have done it, I moved the scroll to a table to make things look cool. Lol.

Just role play an Assassin Scholar, where you can turn your kill shot arrows into knowledge. Sounds stupid, of course, but something new to do for sure...

Did someone say an elder scroll can be shot at someone? Now we can make Moth Priests even more blind!
