From a screenshot I saw, Volkihar is on a island I believe.. In fact, the castle pretty much is the island.

Serana lives in a castle called Castle Volkhar, which is located in a previously inaccessable region of the far northwest corner of the map, near Icewater Jetty.

I see you guys talking about the Kotaku article. did you see the fact that it says there are 2 new landmasses? One is soul cairn and the other is not yet revealed?

The new unnamed 'huge' landmass might be to do with the snow elves. So might the quests not to do with Dawnguard or vampire lords. Just a thought.

Yeah, that interested me too. I wonder if it just means another realm of oblivion or if it really is a new landmass that joins with skyrim.

At least Two new Landmasses. I'm guessing that means Three new "Regions".

Lol, have I been the only person adventuring around in search of similar looking areas?

I strongly believe castle Volkihar is to be situated near the glaciers directly northeast of solitude. there is even a flat island out there with what looks like a stone path leading across it from one side to the other. (teleport to mehrunes dagons shrine and look at the ocean, you will see the island I am talking about).

I am currently exploring the area around riften.... the trees look exactly like what was around castle dawnguard... but I cannot find a similar rock formation.
