Dead Dragons Keep Falling on Whiterun

Post » Thu May 31, 2012 11:46 pm

Had an odd glitch. Thought I got rid of it. It's back.

Weeks ago I had a dead blood dragon show up--skin and all--in the tree neighborhood of Whiterun. Over time and multiple game saves, I noticed the corpse creep down to the market. Eventually I noticed the corpse drop from the sky when I fast travelled into Whiterun. Over time the empty dragon corpse dropped closer and closer to the city's main gate. At random times it dropped only to get stuck somewhere or kinked up in odd positions. Quite entertaining, actually.

Then a couple of days ago a dead blood dragon dropped outside one of the Western forts when I fast travelled into the location. The dragon rain in Whiterun ceased after that.

But it's back.

I think I pulled the dead dragon back to Whiterun when I left the vacinity of one circulating over lower Windhelm. I had to walk to the graveyard just to fast travel away from the dragon. Just didn't feel like fighting it. Thought it was nice decoration to the city--and he had been hanging out there for a bit.

So now the dragon in Windhelm is MIA, and the floppy empty dragon corpses are slowly making their way down the street towards my home, the blacksmith's place and the city gate.

Aren't glitches fun?

Well, yours sounds fun. At least it's harmless. Be thankful for that.

It's trying to sneak up on you. Unfortunately for the dead dragon they have a sneak of -100...

I get the same thing in Falkreath. I want to ask someone "Hey, you've got this huge graveyard. You mind burying that damn dragon?"

This kind of reminds me of the Stockholm glitch in Fallout 3

Use Firestrike on it, send that baby flying. You should be able to move it so it falls in an unoffensive corner. Btw, the second title of this thread amused me, kudos. :P
