Dead Money Bugged

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 4:17 pm

I recently bought Dead Money. I got finished with recruiting the three other companions, and I went to talk to Father Elijiah. I had all three waiting at the fountain, but he said I didn't find them. I retried the DLC a few times with the same profile, but Elijiah kept saying that I didn't have the three companions. I became desperate, and looked at walkthroughs on the internet. I was supposed to get an experience reward for recruiting the third companion, and I was supposed to get the next quest. I didn't get neither. Any advice?

The DLC's fun so far, but hopefully Obsidian can fix bugs better...

There is at least one other thread about this. From Bethesda's response to that you either didn't have the patch installed when you started Dead Money or you removed it during the middle of playing it.
Or you could be like me, I started a new game with the most current patch in place and it still messed up when I got to the fountain.
At this point there is no fix

I just abandoned that save and started back up where I left off before I started dead money. I only lost about 2 hours and now I can do other parts of the standard game.
This is just a reminder to save often

I had the patch, and I did save outside the DLC, just outside the bunker(I'm really uptight with saving). I just wanted to continue the story and get the achievements. Well, at least I still get the 35-level cap! Mabye I'll try the DLC again once I've done everything I can in the Mojave.
