Dead money dlc modding *No plot spoilers*

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 7:33 am

I am curious on what folks are already planning on doing with some of the assets with dead money, due to be released the 22nd of this month. Honestly, the stuff modders can use with the new stuff is probably the only reason I'd get it.

Things I'd like to see:
Take companions you can get during the dlc back into the Mojave.
Use unique creatures in the greater Nevada area. (even if its just to have some spooky buildings with odd monsters)
make any new weapons appear in appropriate weapon lists (so I can see brotherhood or whomever have additional weapon choices)
Thorn to have a chance at using new creatures in some death matches.

I would like the ability to travel back and forth between the Sirra Madre after the quest in completed. I'm sure this can be easily done with a simple mod.

Pretty much this. Negligent gameplay irritations aside that need to be toned down (*cough*speakers*cough*), this was my biggest problem with the DLC as a whole.

Spoiler
2/3's of the way through on a friend's XBOX, I was convinced that we were going to keep the Sierra Madre casino as a re-visitable location, what with the fully functioning casino system and everything -- I mean seriously, the devs actually expected us to take a half-hour break from the linear plot to play slots? We want to finish the damn story at that point! Honestly that struck me as more of a post-quest function than anything.

Can't see any resource/budgeting issues for the decision either, since the entire map is can still be fully explored with no real issues in between the end boss and leaving for good. It's like MZ all over again, though at least this time they were kind enough to warn you before the point of no return.
