I'm sure you guys have heard this before, but the Dead Money DLC is bugged. So bugged that when I gather all three companions to the fountain, that Elijah doesn't acknowledge them making it impossible to advance.

I want to know if the problem is in the Date Files. I only have FalloutNV.esm check marked, not anything else. This include DeadMoney.esm (or what ever its called). Do I have to check mark it and then play the DLC for it to function at full potential? Because I've tried to play twice and the same thing happened, and I'm not running for a third time.

Any thoughts?

You have to "activate him". Basically once the crews there, there should be a button somewhere around the edge of the fountain. Hit it, it should activate him. :wink_smile:

Yea, I know, I've 'activated him' over and over, and even got the companions in a different order. Nothing worked.

Well then, I have no idea. Try realoading perhaps? Looking on the wiki for something concerning the bugs but I can't seem to find anything concerning that.

Activate him harder.

How strange, I found DM to be the least buggy thing ever in FO...
Then again I play on PS3 and so don't mess around with the game files at all...

The game runs perfectly, up until that part at the fountain when I gather all of the companions. I have Christine, and Dean at the fountain, and God/Dog following me. I try to make him wait, or something and it doesn't work. I tried activating Elijah but when he talks he doesn't acknowledge them. He says "What are you doing? Find the others!", and I'm like "They're RIGHT HERE!!!!", I've reloaded saves, gotten them in different orders, had different dialogue, and nothing worked.

I have a feeling that i have to check mark it in the "Data Files" option when you open up Fallout New Vegas. I only have FalloutNV.esm checkmarked, nothing else, not even the pre-order packs. Just that one file, DeadMoney.esm is there as well, but I haven't check marked it in fear of corrupting the data or something.

Dude you got to have the deadmoney esm checked in order to play the dlc. Thats the whole point of it :mellow:
