I'm getting ready to try DM ,so I'm wondering will hardcoe be utterly annoying... or is not as bad as some say. Thanks in advance.

Seemed fine to me. Plenty of things to keep by dehydration down and food as well. Its about as annoying as it is in the regular game. I'd say just go for it and if you find its too much trouble as your playing, you can always turn it off.

That depends on how annoying you found it to be outside of Dead Money.
