Is there any official response to the DLC items such as the holo rifle and gold bars going missing after installing the newest patch? I can now go back and load a saved game from the Sierra Madre and take the gold bars out again but I have a lot of saved games since then, and I don' t want to have to go back to that point in the game and lose everything since then. I assumed they would fix this when PSN came back online, but it's been how long now???? I see people talking about US versions and CA versions of the patches and what not, but I don't really want to delete anything unless I'm sure what will happen if I do. Would be nice to get an official response, or maybe there was one and I missed it.

As I understood the problem for some people installing the 1.05 patch caused the game to fail to recognize the DLC was installed. (which would make dead money items vanish). This could be solved by reinstalling the DLC. Which of course wasn't possible while PSN was down. You could try a couple of things. It had something to do with the esm order. The new vegas files being loaded after the DLC ones.

1#: Just try deleting the gamedata and reinstalling and patching. It could work and its a quick thing to try.

If that doesn't work.

2#: Delete dead money(and your pre-order pack if you have one) and reinstall it. This may put things back in order.
