Dead NPC on wall shackles

Hi all,

I'm trying to decorate a dungeon with various corpses hanging from wall shackles. I tried to do this by setting my NPC to "Starts Dead", then by putting my ShackleWallMarker as his "link ref", but as feared, when i start the game, my NPC is lying dead on the floor. Is there a nice simple way to do this ?

I don't know how myself, but I'd start by looking at the entry room for Illenata's deep...it has a skellie already in a set...see how they're set up. It may be a special item with a skeleton already in place, or it may have a special setup.

Yeah, i looked at it before asking, actually it's all separate static bones set to "Don't Havok Settle". Clever ! ;)

you can try spawning the character alive, then self.kill() in script (although depending on how close the player would be on cell load, you might hear a dying gasp sound

Could you pin him in place with some daggers or something with "NoSettle" on them?

Go to Thalmor Embassy 03 and observe the wall shackles...link an NPC to that, and he should patrol into them (Be sure to give it a patrol duration of at least 1 second so he'll stay in)...wait til you're sure he'll be in place, then kill him and see if he falls out of the shackles or not.
