I would like to bash TWO THINGS about DEAD SPACE 1!
The Meteorites and the asteroids with the damn cannon in Chapter 4, I think. ALWAYS hate that part! Only on Chapter 5 or 6 at the moment and when I complete the game then I'll play DEAD SPACE 2.

Wish I could find the second for a cheap price.

The turret sections in Dead Space were annoying, but I got through them and ultimately loved the game. Dead Space 2 is miles ahead of its predecessor. I just love both games. I also have Dead Space: Ignition which is terrible and Dead Space: Extraction which I haven't played yet due to me not owning a PlayStation Move (it came with Dead Space 2 for free).

I only used the Plasma Cutter in Dead Space, but I had a [censored]-ton of fun using all of the weapons in Dead Space 2, especially the Force Gun. It's really useful for taking out those annoying Necromorphs that charge at you head-on.

You.. Don't need Move to play Extraction. You can play it with a controller.

Way to stay hip, Mr. Mainstream. :mohawk:

Doesn't matter, anyway. Still a bad game.

Err.. I have a tip for Zealot.

Beat the game on Hard-Core first. That way, the Foam Finger you get at the end is actually worth something.

1. Acquire multiple mind-bending drugs.
2. While on the drugs, watch YouTube videos of someone completing the game on hardcoe.
3. Eventually you will pass out. When you wake up, your memories will become so foggy that you will think you have beaten the game on hardcoe.
4. Brag to friends and claim sobriety.

If you complete the game on hardcoe, you earn a Foam Finger in NG+, which One Hit Kills every enemy in the game.

Which makes completing Zealot 1000000x Easier. Oh well. :hehe:

I just watched a 15 minute video of all the DS2 deaths. I couldn't make it through a couple minutes of the video... that [censored] is gruesome man. I grew up watching Saw and all that good stuff but I don't think I could ever play this game.

I felt that some of the death scenes were a tad gruesome, but nothing in Dead space really competes with The Thing.

I always start with the legs, then line up a shot to the upper arm. Dead Space is my favorite horror game.

Not Particularly harder. You can play either one after you beat the game on any other difficulty.

The thing with hard-core is, its basically D.I.D. Which means, Dead is Dead. You get three saves; Miss one shot, panic at the wrong time, and those last five hours of work are over. Very intense.

Though, beating it unlocks the finger. Which lets you breeze by in Zealot. Though, this is more if your a trophy/achievement wh0re. If you want the challenge, go ahead.

I don't think it's worth it, you'll have to play the whole game in 1 sitting....... That'l fry my 360 with RROD.......

You can have saves, and leave the game. But only three per playthrough.

I loved dead space, but I couldn't finish it and I don't know why actually. Every time I picked it up, I played it for a long amount of time and enjoyed it. The trick was getting myself to pick it up again... I thought about it, but never really took action. I don't know it's weird. haha

there is a demo on steam. i can 100% guarantee you that it will be the scariest game you ever play. and ive played resident evil games, silent hill games, call of cthulu etc. nothing........absolutely nothing compares to anmesia.

i tried dead space and was not scared in the slightest. my biggest problem is that i HATE third person games. i cant get scared if im watching someone else get mauled by a monster because to me its just like watching a movie and im not scared by movies either. however, in first person games its much easier for me to be startled and get scared. the bloodsvckers in STALKER still make me jump a bit when i hear their breathing and i have 300 hours in those games. all they had to do to change DS from a mediocre platform shooter to possibly a great game was allow the option for choosing your view. if they make a third one i hope they put that in.
