Dead Thrall bummer

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 7:23 am

So i finally can raise a dead thrall... My hope was for a Forsworn Briarheart, but dang, I am too high a level, so they too are too high to raise. I settle for a a Forsworn ravager.

Get all set... do the weird Master level spell thing, and voila - a Thrall. Who will only run in place?!?!?! I figured it was a bug, but when I tried again, same deal. Is there something I am missing about this. Also - he appeared to be immortal, as I wanted to kill him and between Aela and I we could not do anything! I will be trying this again, but am curious if anyone has seen this. BTW - I was at lvl 99 Conjuring when I did this. I thought you needed to be 100....

Thanks folks!

Don't need to be 100 to have the spell, just 90 I think. But I couldn't cast it until 100 as I needed the master perk to lower the magicka cost as I didn't have enough for the 600 some odd points need.

Don't know what the problem is. Try picking up the corpse and moving it somewhere else. I've had problems after I killed someone they were blown back by a spell into an area they couldn't get out of even though I could reach them.

The spell itself is definitely NOT weird, it's just my view of the "abracadabra" arm motions.... Granted, it adds flair, but.... would you wave your arms around if you were casting a spell?

.... next up: "Why "abracadabra"......"

Did you cast paralyze on it at any time?

That's weird, I'm level 52 and I can thrall a Briarheart. Are they considered undead? Cuz I have Necromage so that might explain it.

Capping the Master Spells is the stupidest idea in TES magic system history.

In my opinion.

Why in the heck does it make sense that an enemy I just defeated is too powerful for me to cast another spell on? Nonsense. Player power should have unlimited upward mobility.

Briarhearts ARE undead, I believe, yet unaffected by necromage. There are lvl 38 and lvl 51 Briarhearts.

Hmmmm..... Very possible. I use a bow with a paralyze enchant on it, and Aela has a staff of paralysis - yeah - she's loaded with staves.

I'm at lvl 76, so that Briarheart is over 50 now. I really wanted one of those! <:{}

I believe the Necromage perk only effects the ability to raise higher level vamps.... I could be wrong.

Not ones you encounter since being that level, you can thrall the level 38 briarhearts but not the higher level ones. They're undead but the game treats them as living, so they aren't affected by necromage when creating zombies and detect life affects them.
