As the title says, I was wondering if I could use a vampire as a thrall and my other question will the sun effect them? Also can I be a vampire as well while having thralls? I want to make a new sneaky mage vampire and wanted to have vampire thralls accompanying me.

However, at higher levels, you may encounter an issue with the Vampire DTs, and most DT for that matter. Pending which type you are trying to DT, they may outscale the spell. Like Bandit Chiefs and Town Guards. The Necromage perk in the Restoration tree may alter that enough to be effective on high level, high ranking Vampires.

I know it is enough to alter the BCs and Guards.

EDIT : I had a Vamp char that enthralled lower level Vamps, and they were bad ass. That damn VDrain spell would almost keep them healed with common enemies. High end enemies would be an issue. Enthrall Vamps with armor and then upgrade their armor.

Oh, you will have no problem finding them, by the time you get the spell. Remenber to use spoiler tags when discussing the location of things like obtaining the spell.
