Does deadly bash increase the damage of a mace or warhammer?

It increases bash damage for your shield.

Sprinting into someone with your shield raised causes you to bash them with your shield.

it increases the damage from a shield bash its pretty handy if you ask me. but if you looking for your maces to have a little extra kick then get bone breaker it doesnt increase damage but it makes maces ignore a portion of your opponents armor. at its highest rank it ignores 75% of your opponents armor.

in the notes from skyrim wiki for deadly bash it says

The Deadly Bash perk increases the damage of all forms of bashing, not just bashing with shields
