Dear Obsidian

I'd love to play Fallout: New Vegas without my game crashing every 10-20 minutes (more often then that, many times). Fix the bugs, please.

Your fan,

A loyal gamer.

There has been many letters to Obsidian, since FONV came out. Oh, I wonder why (sarcastically)?
But, for me, it takes 4-5 hours to freeze, maybe you didn't install the game on 360, or are you speaking figuratively by saying "every 10-20 minutes."?

I purchased it through steam on my PC. I played the first 2ish hours of the game with no problems despite everyone warning me not to purchase the game. As soon as I made it to the NCR prison facility where Eddie is and agreed to help him by heading into Primm to investigate what the HCR plans on doing with the escaped prisoners, the game crashes every time I start walking in the direction of Primm.

Edit: It's also been crashing off and on every 10-20 minutes after the first couple hours of gameplay for random reasons I cannot seem to replicate. The only crash I can replicate right now is if I exit the prison facility and head straight toward Primm. Within a few minutes, it crashes while you're walking.

Personally New Vegas is my buggiest Fallout experience to date. Bugs are honestly the luck of the draw, some don't experience it and a lot do.

I doubt it's his disk. Bugs are acknowledged to be in the game widely.

Hopefully Obsidian and Bethesda release a patch soon (Going by the last patch their sticking to big scale patches rather than a stream of small patches pushed out)

Try clearing your cache, might ease some bugs or eliminate them and stop the slow downs.

If you still have major problems the two solutions are waiting for the patches or speaking with the store you bought it from and explaining your problems in a non-aggresive or snobbish manner.

There's a third or namely relying on community fixes if your a PC player. I have a feeling your on the console side of the spectrum though.

New Vegas is a good game. I hope your bug issues get fixed so you can experience it. Because those aside New Vegas is a great investment and has a lot to offer.

Im on the PS3 and my game crashed every 30-40 mins once i was bout level 10. My brother and friends had the same problems. Sadly i cant see them fixing this problem. I can handle a few bugs and glitches but the screen freezing every half an hour just ruins the game

Your comments are not helpful at all, and seem more like trolling to me. The game has obvious issues which I doubt will ever be fixed. Even people on the playstation have a lot of crashing and freezing, so if they can't get it to work right on a console, where they are all basically the same, what would you expect for pc users. Your game works fine, that's great for you, but don't come here just to rub peoples noses in it. People payed their hard earned money for a game that is broken for them, they don't need people telling them it's their fault.

Never updated huh? I'll leave it at that...

Let me post a response to this that I sent to Bethdsa last night.

Ok guys/gals...I have been a big supporter of Bethesda for a long
time(Morrowind and Oblivion are awesome...hope Skyrim is too)
I purchased Fallout 3 and had a sweet time playing it I purchased
Fallout:New Vegas and I am completely disappointed with the performance of
this game.
IT HAS MORE BUGS THAN A FLEA INFESTED DOG!!!!
You guys are better than this....you used the Steam platform to
distribute FO/NV.
If I may suggest that you use the Steam platform TO FIX THE GAME!!!!!
This game crashes more than a Flordian trying to drive after a New England
snow storm.
Come on guys/gals....I know you can do better t han this.
I have lost countless hours of gameplay cause I lose track of time playing
and don't save often(sometimes)
I am of the opinion you rushed this game into market to beat some kinda
deadline(and the quality shows)
I have been looking for a patch thru Steam to fix at least some of the
problems I am encountering....but I have notnoticed any.
I must honestly say that if Skyrim has 1/4 as many bugs as NV I will NOT
be pruchasing any more games from your studios beyond Skyrim..I understand
the engine might have some problems..but you have used it for at least 3
games that I can count....you guys should have the bugs worked out
PLEASE..PLEASE ......fix the bugs in Fallout:New Vegas to reinstall my
faith in your company(and Obsidian)
Signed
A disillusioned-pissed off fan,
