Death Claw Horror

WTF?.

I left Doc's house at level one, did the tutorial, went to the graveyard and when I went back to town, I run smack into a Death Claw rampaging through Good Springs. I am all for lack of level scaling (chief complaint with FO3 and Oblivion), but this is over the top. A reload didn't help.

Just one of those weird bugs... There are deathclaws north of town to keep the player from running straight to Vegas... One of them wandered to far or spawned to close as a bug...

Given how small and undefended the town is, one Deathclaw taking out the town seems realistic. :)

Wha?

And OT: It was probably just a glitch, unless the game decided it had enough of Good Springs and hired a Death Claw to take care of it, once and for all.

Well, that's what I will do.

Glad to hear that it is not *supposed* to happen.................

Maybe it is supposed to happen. Your character's goal in life went from getting revenge for your predicament to gaining power to one day avenge the kind people who took you in at Goodsprings. Their deaths will be avenged! :P

Happened to me at level eighteen. Luckily, I had the Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle and a pretty high sneak skill, so I killed it before it massacred the whole town. I guess it's just chaos theory in action...

Happened to me with one of the deathclaws in quarry. Second time I went to Sloan. One of the big deathclaws spawned right inside Sloan when I approached via highway from south. Reloading did not help. Then I tried to approach through mountains from west and everything was ok, deathclaw spawned inside quarry as it should.

I am sure its not intended. Probably glitch or bug in engine. Happened in F3 also from time to time.

Doesn't work against Deathclaws. I almost had a giant RadScorpion follow me to Goodsprings, i managed to divert and lose it thankfully :bolt:

A Deathclaw isn't realistic period.

I've got to make a mod that makes a legendary deathclaw spawn in the middle of the place you wish to, and watch it wreak havoc or not.

No need for a mod, just type in console "player.placeatme 167eff". Preferrably after "tgm" :D
