The Quarry northwest of Sloan has quite a few.

The biggest baddest gun you have and from as far away as possible! There are seriously tough in this game. I used the alien blaster, anti-material rifle with ap rounds, or the gauss rifle and the advlts still take two hits to kill... have fun and save before you possibly commit virtual suicide

Closest place to find deathclaws from Goodsprings is Quarry Junction to the East and just North of Sloan. Unless you have a high guns skill I would stay clear of them. Shotguns have a low firing rate and have to be used up close so it gives them time to jump you. Not good since they can kill in two swipes. Also, Deathclaws come in packs in this game and if you have to fight more than one at a time you are toast. The best way to deal with them is sniper at extreme range.

Agreed. First 'claw I came up against was near the quarry (just north of it if I remember correctly). I used the gobi campaign scout rifle (A regular sniper rifle would work fine) and I was picking off deathclaw heads left and right. However, the mother and alpha 'claws gave me a little trouble, being able to make it past the first shot, and even the second shot. But I was only using normal ammo.

An Anti-Materiel Rifle with AP rounds should put any Deathclaw (or any creature in the game, for that matter) down in one sneak-attack shot. Even easier if you have better criticals.

I want to use my YCS/186 :) I love this gun. I am going to go to the quarry as soon as I get Meltdown :D

If you want to find a lone Deathclaw, go north of NCR CF. There is a narrow pass that has a lone "Blinded" or 'Blind" Deathclaw. He can't see you, but he sure as heck can hear you! I played the tremors game with him. I found a rock he couldn't climb, then fired off single shots to get his attention and come closer. . .GRENADE! This was a good plan, but I don't think I would have killed him with the three grenades I had on me. I did however accidentally kill him in V.A.T.S. I threw one at him in vats and it ricocheted off a rock at his feet. That pushed him onto the side of a hill that he wasn't supposed to climb. The next two grenades I launched in vats and started to laugh. The first one pushed him into the air about 2 feet. The second one exploded as he touched the ground and LAUNCHED him. He flew about 50 foot in the air and gravity took care of the rest. Funniest damn thing I've ever seen. . .so far. Sorry, no pics : (

If you want to find an insane amount of death claws go east of the Timmochonek (sp?) mine and carefully fall down the cliff onto the shore. Look across the river and you will see a path on the opposite side. Swim across and start up the path. Your radar will start to light up red as you get about halfway across the river if you have EDE as a follower. No less than 20 death claws in that area. Your followers will get stuck so dont expect them to help you. Also, check the area very carefully for loot after you kill them all....I wont ruin the surprise.
