Decent Looking Bretons..

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 1:32 am

Can somebody please show me a breton that isn't ugly as hell in vanilla skyrim (no mods). Im playing a mage, and i dont want to be a high elf because everyone hates them. Im looking for females mostly, but even just showing me some decent looking male bretons might help..

I started with the second-to-last preset on this montage (http://images.uesp.net/8/8f/SR-race-Breton.jpg), but did so much customization that you can hardly recognize the preset anymore. I would say in general to keep the cheekbones and chin length sliders near or all the way to the left (which you can see in the preset). Also, find the thinnest slider setting for eyebrows and lips ... should help a little.

I tried making a Breton character, but I think she'd never look as good as http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/5/54/Delphine2.png.

Thank you for the tips, I'll try and keep to that, too. I couldn't understand how I ever made a really decent-looking Altmer, but can't make a Breton look good no matter what.

thanks :) also, is there any way to make the face a little slimmer? I know they had something for that in oblivion, but they did cut out a bunch of customization options..

Yeah, I actually made a decent looking high elf mage, but I couldn't figure out how to replicate her :/ I think bretons are the toughest race to make look good, so im hoping that bethesda will release a patch giving more options to customize them, or at least take away the wierd wrinkles on their forehead..

.. I dunno if it's just me, but I think the first female breton preset looks fantastic. She has that cute look you'd expect from an apprentice sorceress. Or is it the "pormstar-esque sixy & seductive, curvaceous but she will kill you"-look you're after?

Goodness, I didn't even take the time to notice all the pretty people in the presets. I agree, she reminds me a bit of Muiri.

That's what I used too(and with texture mods, she looks super cute).

I've got a Breton mage specializing in Destruction & Conjuration. She looks well hot (considering she not real). She has blacky dark brown hair, pale white face (imagine like the band the Corrs) and wears Forsworn armor (the cheeky most revealing little number  )

I can't take a screenshot as I'm unfortunately on xbox

Decrease jaw width to get rid of the round face. I do it for every Breton I make.

I've made a Breton, and I'm pretty satisfied with how she turned out.

I think you can make Bretons look cool. Just emphasize the cheekbones, make a slightly wider jaw and chin.

Lady Bretons are, I think, the prettiest PC's (and NPCs) in the game. I have a lady Breton mage, and she looks pretty good, and I'm no expert at creating great characters.I don't have a image yet. As I recall it is almost one of the defaults with some minor tweaks. She looks a bit like Mirabelle Ervine at the College of Winterhold.

http://i1254.photobucket.com/albums/hh611/Trace9569/HPIM1161.jpg this is my mage Gareth, I was going for a more rugged look, plus early 30's.

My Breton female looks like Christina Applegate, which was completely unintentional. I started with the preset with the dark shoulder length hair.

Breton females aren't so bad, but I say this after modding them to an unrecognizable state x.x

I do happen to have an old pic of my very first char, though; from before I modded anything at all....http://i571.photobucket.com/albums/ss156/zalunaya/thievesgear.jpg?t=1323069919. If the forehead wrinkles annoy you, can cover 'em with a hood

Here's a modded up Breton mage -

http://i40.tinypic.com/11llb1u.jpg

In her vanilla state, I used the first preset and tweaked it until I was satisfied (my avatar photo shows her at a much lower level (and vanilla) state).

All that the body mods really did was smooth out the blockiness and improved the skin textures. The ones I use are Dimon's body replacer and mrLenski's Coverwomen (mainly to get rid of a horrible neckseam that popped up when I installed the body replacer).

The robes she's wearing are the Archmage's Robes, retextured with yet another mod.

I took the shot inside Candlehearth Hall in Windhelm. It's pretty gloomy in there, so I cast a Magelight to brighten the place up a bit for the shot.
