Deleting posts.

Mods.

If you must delete a post, at least have the decency to PM the OP explaining why. I posted two that have both been deleted, one was a new topic with a question about a bug in the tech forum, the other was a folow on from someone else's topic. Both topics were deleted but no explanation was given. I'm still totally at a loss as to why they were deleted.

It's not like I didn't search, as far as I knew, this was a bug that has not been reported before. If it had been reported, at least have the decency to point out where in a PM or just lock the thread with a note linking to the topic where the answer is or the continuing discussion about it. Chances are, it is simply a case of wrong search terms which is why it wasn't found - remember searches have limitations too.

I do expect this topic to be deleted but I also hope I got a message across. A forum is not much use if you can't obtain help from it because Mods continually delete your queries without explanation.

You should not automatically assume the worst, but give people the benefit of doubt.

Just because the forum search is currently quirky and not as functional as it should be (which is really beyond our control as it's the tech guy who deals with the forum software), it doesn't mean the threads been deleted. None of your posts are gone, and the threads are still there.
