What if the thalmor work for the chickens does that mean the plot to destroy man and return things to the way they where before is being orchestrated by a chicken?! the mer better look out the chickens wan't them gone to!

This actually makes sense. It's a trope in medieval stories for horses to get spooked and guards to be alerted by it.
