Well, now that people have played it, what're your opinions? Still not sure if I want it.

You want it. You want to sacrifice your first born for it.

Got past the first mission currently caught up in a side quest and I have to say that I'm impressed thus far. I like the setting, greater sense of non-linearity (in comparison towards most games), sense of customization and certainly see plenty of potential for replay value as it is. It reminds me of Alpha Protocol (forgive the comparison never played the previous game) but so much better and will definitely be my pre-Skyrim game choice for my science fiction needs before going fantasy.

I'm somewhat stuck. I have absolutely no idea how to keep from running out of ammo, and the game seems to be very difficult even on easy.

Stop shooting everybody.

No, seriously. I haven't played HR yet, but if you go into the first Deus Ex as a straight FPS you will most likely fail.

Don't go in guns blazing, just sneak up to them and knock them out. I've cleared out entire rooms doing that then hiding the body one at a time, I went through one room without even touching anybody.

Also, will enemies be able to spot my weapon laser if I attach one to my pistol?

STILL DOWNLOADING. 95%: NEARLY DONE

I believe its because I activated the Exposive Mission pack and now that's what its been downloading this whole time. That would explain why its so HUGE.

If it's not a boss fight, you don't need to kill anybody at all. In the whole game.

One of the achievements:
Pacifist
Complete Deus Ex: Human Revolution without anyone dying by your hand. (Boss fights do not count.)

So from what I gather it's more stealthy than shooter?

its really focused on stealth, you don't really get enough ammo to play it like a strait up shooter

Its whatever you want it to be.

Me, I stealth/cowboy mix through the diff areas, get as much headshots as possible, explore entire area, etc etc to obtain max xp

I find myself reloading saves to mess around
