I began the journey of darkness returns. Got all the way to the pit just before you turn in the key then saved bec I wasnt sure if I would lose the key forever. Once I found out that I would, I decided to reload at my save point then return later after I got my lockpicking perks high enough, so I left the twilight sepucher. Now I cant get back in it. The ghost is still there but the entrance to the sanctum is not open and will not open even after talking to the ghost of Gallus. Did I break the quest line by not completing the quest earlier? I already have whats-her-names nightengale bow and she is gone - dont know where to find her. Thanks for the help

There are so mant bugs with the thieves guild quests it wouldn't suprise me if your's isn't bugged. Check this link out for any info that might help you.

Nah, wasnt of any help but thankyou though. Karliah is already gone - she gave me her bow as a gift and wet on her merry way. The path to the inner sanctum will no longer open so I cannot return the key any longer and thus not able to complete the theives guild quest of ownership. Sux.......

I broke it too, and I dont want the key, I want to know how to get rid of it...

Speaking of Thieves guild bugs, I had one just yesterday that basically buged my armor rating, after I take the nightingale armor and do the oath, it basically did something to a necklace in my inventory, that when equiping it my armor rating was reduced to half, from 540 to 200 something, only fix I found was to make a new necklace, I also tried not having necklace in inventory during oath, but it still buged.
