Did Elenwen Signed The Justiciar Execution Order against me?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 9:06 pm

I am actually quite fortunate to have the Thalmor up my ass. It suits my RPing desires as my character is indeed wanted by the Thalmor.

Anyhow in the game who signed these warrants? I assume Elenwen?

Elenwen clearly identifies me as someone that she seen before; at her party that I destroyed. Don't they want to know the location of the two remanding blades are located at?

This has happened to me couple of times when I wasn't doing anything specific against the Thalmor. I think it's just random fun just like the random assassins you get from DB and muggers from Thieves' Guild.

You get those Thalmor assassins encounters when you've finished Diplomatic Immunity from the MQ. Whether it's an order of Elenwen isn't known. It could make sense since she's directly involved with that respective quest, but seeing as she's a diplomat from the embassy, I actually doubt it. It's not her role to dispose of troublesome elements to the Aldmeri Dominion, she could however have alerted some 'friends' responsible for such stuff about you ...

But the fact to the matter is that they're wanted by the Thalmor. I remember one of the thalmor soldiers calling me blades agent as I was busting Esbern out of the rat way in Riften so they assume that I have involvements with the Blades.

LOL I approached a group of Thalmor Justiciar and started speaking with one. http://i1096.photobucket.com/albums/g322/Raidensama/Skyrim/wmplayer2012-05-0711-48-22-81-1.jpgSuch love <3

Well, yasee... to interrogate you, you have to have your mouth uncovered so you can respond to inquiries. If You the Dragonborn have your mouth uncovered, you are a person of mass destruction. You can see how bad an idea it is to attempt to interrogate you.

Then again, it's a bad idea to mouth off to or chase after the bounty on the Dragonborn, but the Thalmor keep doing it anyway. Maybe they would do something so foolish. Their elven hubris does seem to blind them.

I also think that turning Saadia in to the Alik'r also may trigger the sent-to-their-own-death squads too. That's what I've heard...

The Thalmor could easily interrogate the dragonborn without the gag over his mouth. Since they specializes with magic they can very easily have 2 or more soldiers beside him to jolt him with a good dose of electricity if he does anything funny like using a shout.

Elenwen manage to successfully torture Ulfric and he knows the thu'um. So I'm sure they know how to deal with people who knows the dragon tongue.

They tortured a mortal with the Thu'um. The Dragonborn isn't entirely a mortal. Ulfric knew all of Unrelenting Force and Disarm. You can know those, Fire Breath, Frost Breath, Ice Form, Dismay, Become Ethereal, etc etc etc. Plus, there's that whole "Will to Dominate" thing inherent to dragons. You stare down Alduin. I don't think some pissant goldenrod jackboot scares you.

You could scare their pants full with Dismay. You could taunt them mercilessly with Throw Voice. You could tank the torture or maybe even simply slip your bonds with Become Ethereal. Or you could simply give a massive "FETCH YOU!" to your interrogator by lighting them on fire.

On my first character, I didn't start getting ambushed by Thalmor until after the party. My second character was being hunted by them long before infiltrating the Embassy so I no longer have a clue what triggers the Thalmor assassin squads. My third character hasn't been hunted by them yet, but she has killed six Thalmor already just on the road between Riverwood and Whiterun. I was filled with glee when the opportunities arose because it fits her backstory perfectly.

Shout phrases seem to single-syllable words, so those wouldn't work.

On the instances where you were starting to get 'bushed before you went to the party, did you bag Saadia for the Alik'r?

Well, not a one shout, even the ones you don't have access to, are more than one syllable a piece. So I think it's quite safe to assume that shouts are comprised of at most a trio of one-syllable phrases. :)

You know, I'm not sure. I know I did it earlier than I did with the first character, so it's possible. I hope that's the case, because that would affirm my belief that Saadia really was the villain in that scenario and the Alik'r were telling the truth. And my current character would be happy to know that she has once again made life difficult for the Thalmor.

IIRC I've also been left scratching my head over Thalmor attacks that occurred before I got to Diplomatic Immunity or had any contact with them at all. I know for a fact that one happened before the MQ got that far *and* before I'd ever encountered and killed any of their patrols. And I've always turned Saadia over to the Alik'r, usually early in the game because my first 3 characters I went to Whiterun straight away and ended up doing a bunch of local quests just for the XP and the money so I could buy the house. So you may be on to something.

On this playthrough I went straight to Windhelm from Riverwood and joined the Stormcloaks, and never hit Whiterun 'til I was sent there as part of the CW quests. I didn't do Diplomatic Immunity until just before the battle of Solitude; I worked that and Missing In Action into the Liberation of Haafingar, because it just seemed to make sense to RP that infiltrating the Thalmor Embassy and wiping out the ones at Northwatch might be considered a vital part of the war effort. And I'm almost positive that I was never ambushed by any Thalmor all during that time. I have killed assassins that were carrying the note signed "E." but I'm pretty sure that's only happened since I finished Diplomatic Immunity.

I only just recently finished the Saadia quest this time around, when I finally returned to Whiterun and joined the Companions and bought Breezehome and decided to let Vignar make me Thane again. I'll be curious to see if that triggers any ambush attacks by the Thalmor themselves. In a way it will make me feel better if the Thalmor ambushes are triggered by turning Saadia in to her pursuers, since that would seem to indicate that she did indeed betray her people to them and may still be working for them in some capacity.

I think I saw its in the code. In other words, go to the Embassy party, f00k them all up and then its automatic that they're after you. Might be wrong , though.

Lol. I saw a comment toward the top about Thalmor interigating the Dragonborn and shocking him. My particular Dragonborn is a Breton (25% resistance) with the Atronach Stone (%50 absobtion) . Magick tickles like a 9volt battery on the tongue.

True, but the point is that some people are being attacked by Thalmor before they attend the party or have given the Thalmor any other reason to be looking for them with malicious intent. Which means that Thalmor attacks on the player are either randomly generated without reference to the party quest, or else there is another event that can trigger them.

"Destroy with extreme hatred"

LOL. I would guess that is worse that destroying someone with loving kindness. ;)

I've got to get me one of those letters.
