I don't get why people HAVE to tie human values to cartoons. Seriously, it's a little kid show. Bert and Ernie are like little kids, they do little kid stuff, which is funny for well, LITTLE KIDS! They live together and play games play with rubber ducks, etc. Little kids just...like it. But then advlts go over there and say "Well, they're gay, obviously!" It's a kids show! They aren't mean to have a sixual orientation, or any of that junk little kids don't yet care about. Especially them getting married too, kids don't get married! The show is based on the lives of kids and how they play together. It's not meant to exemplify advlt life, so why make those unneeded connections?
I'm not against gays or gay marriage and all that jazz, if they want to get married, why can't they. A man and woman who hate each other have more more of a right to get married than a gay couple that love each other? It's not right to discriminate them like that. But I don't think that advlts should add their values to a kid show, gay or not. Little kids don't sit watching TV and ask "Mommy, they're gay aren't they? They live with each other...so.." No, they watch for entertainment, not critique.
Anyway, why are people planning on messing up the next generation as well? Seriously, people are trying their absolute hardest to make kids not accept homosixuality and that messes up our future society because our future leaders just might be gay-haters! I think that our previous generations should just step aside with their beliefs and leave our current generation to think for themselves instead of infecting them with prejudice.
