Did Skyrim just fail with clothing?(Armor not included)

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 9:20 pm

There is no where near the amount of variety there should be with the clothes, the colors, designs, etc...........I love the armors, but the clothes are just not enough.

Yeah there was definitely WAY more clothes in Oblivion. Here you have a set of peasant clothes, and a set of noble clothes. In Oblivion there was at-least 5-6 types of clothes for poor, medium, and upper class.

I guess that's another thing they left to the modding community to fill out or maybe they figured people would be too busy exploring to notice.

More culturaly diverse clothing would be cool. We have nordic, redguard, magewear and Thalmor and thats about it. Seeing Imperial, Dunmer, Khajiit, Argonian etc styles clothing would add some good diversity.

I would like more culturally diverse clothing too.
I would overall like just more outfits in the game than there are.

I blame that too, and so many disagree, this game needed more time.

Oooo. Having culture specific looks would be really neat and great for rp. I made a nord raised by imperials. Would be cool if there was an "imperial" outfit.

you had to go there, didn't you. in a clothing thread of all things. woe is you. the game is just so bad. dumbed down for noobs, because you can't have your clothes and easy bake oven.

Ikr...it's sad.

There's enough for me not to notice repeat outfits so it's fine to me

So you are comparing the amount of clothing between a cold, harsh environment like Skyrim and the hub of the Empire in its prime? Ok, well can someone at least give a proper count of the clothing items, because there seems to be a lot in Skyrim.

Personally I think more clothing styles are the topic here, or that it was meant to be.

Thats fine, but I would still like a proper count. Preferably using the test room, and backed up by multiple people. If the anyone is gonna complain that there is less of something than in previous games please back it up with numbers. We already had to go through the "types of enemies" debate.

Not only do they fail in design but they are pretty much all named "clothes" or "fine clothes" and 1 "noble clothes" not to mention I can design better "noble" and "fine clothes" theirs is just too ugly.

Let's see if I can find the link I posted in

Here it is: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1325184-cross-dressing-is-too-common-in-skyrim-i-realized-i-was-wearing-the-same-attire-as-maven-blackbriar/page__fromsearch__1

Fail? A bit strong. Names , now that they should've been a lot clearer with. I hate having to go through mulitple console codes just to find the right outfit. the clothes in Skyrim look vastly better by design then they did in both Oblivion and Morrowind. Doesn't make them great but still...they are better.

For the setting the game takes place I think the clothing and it's verity is just fine, but this is also coming from someone like me who focuses more on setting appropriate than "more" also I can think of a lot more things they should have added.
