i know i've posted several threads on this subject but i'm concerned, and seeing as patch 1.3 didnt fix these issues that i thought 1.2 caused i'd like to know if skyrim damaged my playstations performance or something. i've formated and restored my ps3 several times trying to get the game to work, i've re-installed many many times, and my game remains the same. theres not one scratch smudge nothing on my disc, my ps3 is barely month old. any ways before i ramble here are my consistant problems. noises and music are failing to queue. i'm experiencing frame rate problems in areas for example when hadvar opens the second gate inside helgan, in the torture room, and the area where he lowers the bridge. on our way to riverwood instead of leading me to the gaurdian stone he heads off on a dirt path. theres a bottle of wine on the floor to the left of jarl balgrufs throne its wierd it shouldnt be there, when i fight the first dragon, balgrufs thane(the dark elf irlef i think) kinda does nothing wich isnt normal. after i leave whiterun for high rothgar shes walking from the farm back to whiterun wierd. right after tolfdir finishes his lecture in the hall of elements the dark elf is the only one who shows up at sarthal even after days of waiting wierd. these are all small things but there reoccuring wich is concerning even after fresh install even complete formats. these are problems that emerged after patch 1.2 but i dont know if thats the cause as i restarted because of the patch wanted to start fresh.

this thread is mainly for bethesda to read but if anyone thinks they have answers feel free to comment. i know its a bit hard to follow my grammer svcks

in summation is it the patch or my ps3 because at one point the game ran near flawless

their have been some performance issues with PS3 firmware 4.0 freeze ups framerate issues not just with Skyrim but MW3 BF3 movie play back a friend of mine had BF3 mess up with a menu screen go pink with green lines and no loadout selection. I got freeze ups just on my XMB hard to patch a game when the firmware is crap before 4.0 no problem's with lag

i didnt even consider that a factor could be so many things i just dont want to have to wait till january for answers bethesda this is like bushs mission accomplished speech

Sum guy posted on Playstation.com support blog about firmware 4.0 issues that after update his drive wouldn't read BD anymore

my game still works but i'm having some serious doubts that a patch is to blame not saying it isnt bethesdas fault i just dont know

I thanks its a combination of both Sony firmware and the game faults. My question is how the hell did this get past Sony's quality asurance people the game has to get signed off on by Sony just like the patch's

Since the skyrim freezing my PS3 is now quite sluggish, and sometimes won't turn on. No problems before Skyrim patch 1.2.

i should clarify my ps3 isnt acting up at all its not broke i'm just refering to the performance running skyrim

What I got out of the firmware posts the more you use the PS3 the worse the HD frags and afew guys reported HD failure

did sony comment on this or is this just forum buzz
