Yup I just found out that skyrim vampires are meant to have a unique ability but it was removed it is called dread cloak. I was searching up a mod that reverses feeding to vampires when i found a mod I was looking for but he did not upload the file. Continuing with the story I read the description and he said that he restored the dread clock power that bethesda removed I searched it up on UESP and it came up here it is. So vampires had a free frost clock ability.

Dread Cloack 000ed0a9(this is the spell ID PC users can Add it back in) For 60 seconds, opponents in melee range take 8 points frost damage and stamina damage per second.
Vampire power

Knowing the vampire system this skill is most likely meant to be stronger as you go up stages so all this time volkihar did have a unique ability but bethesda simply did not add it.

Bethesda getting rid of all the cool stuff but leave in all the lame stuff .

They got rid of werewolf's sight for werewolves in human form. Lunar transformations, and now this!

I have no idea maybe bethesda thought it would make vampires too good anyway we will never know.

Ah.. I have this power on accident.. Someone modify my char and gave him all the Vampire-Powers on accident.. I was wondering why I have that!

Actually I am wrong the power shows that it cost mp but when you use it the power takes up no magicka so PC vampire players can console in the power using this command. We are allowed to post console commands? If not I will remove the code.

Well.. People with an Xbox 360 can transport their saves to the Computer then have a friend edit the file.. Which what happened to me.. And I've been told it is legal to do.

If you can I say go for it I do remember a streamer I watched saying you can transfer saves between the PC and the 360 so it is possible to add the skill.

My Xbox 360 Main Char has the power on accident, like I said.. So I know it is possible.. I'm thinking about having this be done on my Vampire Char to get this Power.. I'm thinking about it.. I'm not a fan of Vampires.. I'm more of a fan of Werewolves.

Just a warning I'm always intrepid of adding spells that were removed by Bethesda. Sure it might work when you first try it but there might be some kind of critical bug with it that causes bethesda to pull it in the first place. For example it might hurt your followers whenever you use it or it might cause everyone to be aggressive to you (including followers). I have found that aoe cloak abilities are riddled with bugs.

I normally don't use followers but I can see how it would hurt everyone around you since it does not discriminate between npcs.

Sounds the same as frost cloak, that is probably why they took it off.

Well vampire seduction is pretty much the same as a calm spell and vampire servant is pretty much the raise dead spell. The point is these powers does not cost mp to use so warrior characters get a free frost cloak per day which would be quite useful for melee combat since it also drains stamina from your foe.

That is an ability i saw the Volkihar possessing, and if you were to have Frost Cloak+Invisibility i always saw that as an offensive mist form
My Volkihar has Frost Cloak as one of his primary abilities already. As well as Ice Form, Frost Breath, Become Ethereal, Ice Spear,and Ice Storm

Well now we finally know that volkihar did have a unique ability well there is the frost cloak spell but its a FREE frost cloak spell per day I say assassin/warrior characters would love dread cloak. I have encountered no bugs with the skill thus far since I added it back in.

I wish there was a way we could have permanent vampire thralls. Making the moth priest my slave was kind of cool.

Oh yeah that was one of my ideas back in OB. Make a Spell called Enthrall that makes someone your ally. It seems more viable now with Vampires and would be a Thrall but not-dead (so no moaning and they are unaffected by silver, DG weapons, etc)

Another feature that would make Skyrim's vampires more like the like the volkihar and bethesda decided to scap it?

That would be wonderful. I want an army of thralls .

Even more so if they didnt have to be a follower but had other special bonuses like Merchants would give you massive discounts and guards would clear your name
