This is something that irritates me a little bit..;

If I kill some random people in Riverwood or if I do something crimial there, they will ALWAYS know in Whiterun!

How and why?

Magic. DUH :sorcerer:

Also, couriers. It's mentioned in one of thieves guild quest that couriers can carry names of criminals from hold to hold. But the fact that your criminal history can only exist in one hold; that means the law is actually giving you a break; instead of smearing your name all over Skyrim.

The same problem by the way also existed in Oblivion...

Skyrim is not set in the Middle Ages.

But anyway, couriers travel fast. Especially since they're not wearing any clothing.

It always bothers me that even though my super-master-stealth-cool-guy was NEVER EVER caught stealing, the guards still say things like "Keep your hands to yourself thief." Even worse when people hire thugs to rough me up for stealing their stuff even though they never saw me doing it.

"M'aiq knows all, M'aiq tells some". Ever wonder why you are always running into M'aiq the Liar or Talsgar the Wanderer whenever you round a corner in Skyrim? That's right, we're watching you. Ever wonder how the Dark Brotherhood knows that you murdered someone when there are no witnesses? That's right, Aedra and Daedra are watching you all the time, and then they whisper in the ears of their followers, who then gossip to their friends at the market stalls and taverns. Who needs phones when the faithful all subscribe to the Tamriel Crime Reporting Service?

M'aiq is the reason for that. He tells you he knows how to use fast travel. Essential fast travelling cat is all they need for fast knowing.

Speaking of telepathy...

*Find Thalmor patrol on a road in the middle of nowhere
*Slaughter them
*"BOUNTY REMOVED. LAST WITNESS KILLED."
*Checks bounty: 1040 gold - assault and murder.

:/

Oh, and not to mention when chickens and deers show up in court to testify against you.

I thought it was odd that attacking a group of Imperial Soldiers out on patrol in Stormcloak Territory would invoke a bounty. It did, and thankfully no wolves, horkers, or dragons could testify when I left their corpses in that ravine.

+3253253252.Same thing here,if its one thing that annoys the hell out of me , its that.It takes away so much of the fun of playing a stealth character.

Actually the Guards are telepathic

The same problem by the way also existed in Oblivion...

Though it was worse there, bounties were handled for the whole game rather than the individual counties, so you could kill a guy in the Imperial reserve and they would instantly know about it on the Morrowind border.

Add to that the hilarious way you could stab a remote guard, and he would force activate the arrest dialogue, so even if you killed him it had already registered your bounty.

Worse than that is that guard comment you can get talking about one of the DB questline killings. Your secret assassin (not so secret if they're wearing the uniform secret assassins get to advertise to the entire world they're a secret assassin, but there you go) kills some guy and his bandit friends in an isolated Dwemer ruin, and suddenly a guard in Windhelm knows exactly what you did for no reason.
