No difference in Vram usage between 2x, 4x or 8x TR SSAA!

Hey,

So I have an GTX 580 and it doesn't matter if I choose any of the three above settings my Vram usage is about 1200mb. This is with the new HighRes Pack DLC plus Better Landscape Textures and Vurts Flora Overhaul.

I have turned off AA and AF in the Launcher and in the Nvidia Control Panel choose "Override any application settings" and selected 16x CSAA and one of the above Transparency Supersampling settings.

What am I doing wrong?

Does the image quality improve? If so, you're not doing anything wrong.

No, it hasn't

I've also tried going into Nvidia Inspector and changing my normal AA from 16x CSAA to 4x4 Supersampling so I have this and 8x TRSSAA and my Vram usage hovers around 600mb in Riverwood this is not right! There are jagged lines everywhere like I've turned off AA. I must be doing something wrong.

Update:

I found out that if you use skse then any settings you use in nvidia inspector or the control panel will NOT take effect, only settings made in the launcher. Even if you use "Override any application setting". Apparently because skse is a third party application Nvidia does not recognize the game when launching it.

I've used the ingame AA and AF instead and it looks amazing.

yeah more often than not... even when selecting an over-ride value in NVidia or ati's control panels...... skyrim just totally ignores them and sets it's own settings.
