Ok, this is my firs post, so lets cut to the chase, I need information/help regarding my copy of New Vegas.

I was a cheapskate, and bought a Honk-Kong regional copy of New Vegas from ebay (I live in the UK and also didn't know it was a different region at the time).
The game plays fine, but there is a problem when it comes to DLC, I cannot install it because the DLC is a different region to the game save.
I have made a Hong Kong account to buy the DLC off that store, but then there is the issue of funding, I cannot easily get hold of vouchers/funding cards and my parents will now no-longer use credit cards because of the recent PSN issue.
I have realised if I buy a UK copy to play the DLC, my current save (which I am very proud of) will not work and I will have to start a new game.
So, I am wondering, is there a way to convert save files between regions (then convert back after installation), or any other way I can get the DLC apart from buying from the Hong-Kong store?
It would be alot eaisier.
OR, there was one more thing, I am abit of a Trophy hunter, would it be wise to get Platinum (just ignoring DLC), THEN buy a UK copy to get the DLC trophies? Or would it make 2 sets of trophy data (which I don't want)?

I think you're basically screwed, they have the region locking for a reason.

Ok the reason is to squeeze more money out of those that they know will pay it, but still, it's not really meant to be circumvented I'm afraid.
