When I first meet with Malcolm, I can't seem to give him any equipment to smuggle in for me. I click on I'm ready, here's what I'll need and it goes nowheres.
Isn't it suppose to go to your equipment screen? Mine doesn't. How do I give him equipment. even when I open my items menu I click on my equipment to give and all I do is get naked and the equiptment remains in my inventory.

I was confused at first as well.
IIRC, at this point he's like a follower and there is a talk item that gives you the opportunity to trade stuff.
So just try talking to him again and then scroll the chat topics.
