I know that the game on the console comes with multiple discs, two i think. What i want to know is if you download the discs to your system and then play with just the first disc like a PC game or if at some point you switch inbetween the discs.

From my experience games that come with multiple discs and require you to install them on the harddrive of your console, only use one disc to play. The second disc is not needed anymore after installation of the contents.

Rage comes in 3 discs, 2 campaign and a multiplayer for the Xbox 360 and PC. And a blu ray ps3.

I have lots of two-disk games on the 360, and on none of them can you install both to the HDD and use only one to play. You need to have each disk in the 360 to play that part of the game. It's MS policy.
